Hapag-Lloyd has announced plans to implement Portchain’s advanced fleet planning software to optimise workflows within voyage control and execution.

Portchain, which provides advanced analytics and AI solutions for the shipping industry will combine large amounts of data with its proprietary machine learning algorithms to provide live insights on issues affecting the schedules of Hapag-Lloyd’s vessels. It will allow for a more proactive and collaborative way of working, improve planning and schedule reliability improvements, and reduce bunker fuel costs for the shipping company.
