Elcome International has expanded its range of engine-room automation systems with the introduction of the new ELSYS Intelligent Boiler Control System.

Developed in collaboration with Grønne Technologies, the new distributed control system was developed by a team of experienced engineers and boiler technicians. It is designed to boost productivity and efficiency of shipboard auxiliary, composite and exhaust gas boilers by intelligently managing fuel and combustion air.

“The ELSYS Intelligent Boiler Control System delivers value by improving the plant’s integrity, optimizing resource usage and reducing the total cost of operation and maintenance,” said Pradeep Kumar, technical manager, automation, Elcome International. “The scalable system provides an intuitive and highly reliable solution with customisable features to improve boiler operations and uptime.”

“The smart control system is built on a future-proof architecture designed to meet the evolving needs of boiler processes and to achieve high reliability and enhance boiler safety on board,” he added.

As a turnkey solutions provider, Elcome provides end-to-end service for ships’ boiler controls, including design, engineering, system integration with third-party interfaces, installation and upgrade of control systems. The scope of supply includes state-of-the-art custom control panels, seamless retrofit for legacy systems, design and testing of graphical user interfaces, a type-approved controller with firmware upgrades, critical spares, pre-inspection, engineering and document management for class approvals, as well as installation and commissioning.
