Delta Energy and Bunker Connect announce joint venture

Digital bunker solution and broker Bunker Connect International and bunker suppliers and traders Delta Energy Fuel Supply & Trading have announced a new joint venture partnership: Delta Connect DMCC, which will see the further development and expansion of the Bunker Connect digital bunker platform.

The next step is to take the digital platform global to increase port coverage.

At a group level, Delta operates and purchase bunkers for anywhere between 50-70 dry bulk vessels and will also have its volume bought via the digital platform over time as it is integrated internally. The Joint Venture Delta Connect DMCC creates global coverage to operators working with Bunker Connect and allows for expansion of the range of solutions offered on the platform.

Delta Energy as a part of Delta Corp, will continue to drive digitisation of the bunkering and shipping industry. This is underlined by Delta Corp’s recent acquisition of Quantship FZC, another new platform that uses AI algorithms to unlock value in freight markets. Part of the Delta Connect venture will ensure Delta Energy’s bunkering processes become more automated and more transparent. Bunker Connect will bring its digital platform to a wider marketplace and can advantage of Delta Energy’s robust credit and business development resources.

Delta Energy’s physical bunkering locations and trading offices will remain independent and continue business as usual.
